Women in Finance Charter Briefing 2019

The Women in Finance Charter is a commitment by HM Treasury and signatory firms to work together to build a more balanced and fair industry. The Charter reflects the government’s aspiration to see gender balance at all levels across financial services firms. A balanced workforce is good for business – it is good for customers, for profitability and workplace culture, and is increasingly attractive for investors.

On the last day of April, we held a briefing event in conjunction with Medianett and Brightstar Group to discover what it means to be a signatory of the charter and explore ways to raise the profiles of women in finance.

The event was so well received that it had to be moved to a larger venue to accommodate the attendee numbers. It was amazing to see the shared interest and passions between our colleagues within the finance industry to recognise the under-representation of women in financial services, particularly in senior roles, and to see us all band together to pledge to make a change.

Speaking after the event, our Director Anthony Rose said: “Supporting the Women in Finance Charter was an easy decision for us and we are pleased to join the many companies who have signed up to the charter’s pledge for gender balance across financial services.”
