Market-leading refurbishment finance solutions

Our panel of high street, specialist and private lenders have an appetite to provide a range of short-term loans that enable property developers to carry out light or heavy refurbishment works on their own residential, or investment properties. Each lender will have their own definition of what a light or heavy refurbishment is, but generally they equate to:

  • Heavy refurbishment
    Significant structural work, costing over 15% of the property’s value. May require planning permission or involvement from building regulations. For example, loft conversions or rear/side extensions.
  • Light refurbishment
    Usually cosmetic improvements, as well as electric rewiring, damp proofing and new installations of bathroom suites and kitchens. These refurbishment costs will equate to less than 15% of the property’s value.
