What was the situation?

Our client, based in Hong Kong, was purchasing a new build buy to let property in the UK under their sole names. Despite having a strong property portfolio and proven track record as a landlord, they approached LDN Finance after being declined by a high street lender whose internal exposure limits had been reached.

With only 30 days to complete and a 25% deposit already committed, they required an international buy to let mortgage from a UK lender to keep the purchase on track and meet the developer’s deadline.
